Parents aren't allowing me to spend my own money even though I can afford it until I sell my 360 and laptop. I'm going to try to work on them later today to convince them otherwise.

Considering they're the ones who are going to pay for my medical school tuition, I don't really want to piss them off like that.
I think I'll be able to convince them to let me order parts by the end of the week.

You could always bring the budget down and make some cuts, then just add on later. Med school is soooo overrated....

We'll see. They aren't home yet but I'm putting the pitch on them when they get here.

See anything you could make significantly cheaper without lowering performance?

I would definitely be interested in the ram if it's the black corsair and not the g.skill I had earlier (not sure if I even linked)

What type of 7950 is it?

What color sleeving is on that ax850?

I'm a little weary of buying used PSU's, and pumps, and fans

It's black Corsair vengeance, low profile.

MSI Twin Frozr 3. Fully unlocked and a great OC'er

I always buy my PSU's used as long as they are a reliable brand and highly rated

It will be the same. You aren't going to need a 6 core processor more than likely. That MOBO will still let you crossfire in the future. The PSU is a bronze certified just not modular. RAM is RAM for the most part and that monitor is still a 23" 1080p display.

ETA: That CPU is supposed to be the best on the market for $100-$120 or so.
