What all needs to be upgraded in my build to move from AMD to Intel? Am I better off just buying a whole new tower with Intel compatible parts?

I'll post this again for you

o if I were to get a 1440p monitor, because FLYAU may sell me his, what am I looking at with a 770? Could I keep it on high settings if I just cap it at 30fps?

Maybe. Regardless of framerate cap though, you may run into a VRAM bottleneck in some games. It's a 2gb card, right?

Yes. The only current game I've been playing is fallout so I looked up the benchmarks I could find. Looks Like I can keep it above 30fps but 60 is unrealistic. I don't know how other current games compare to fallout though.

Yep. Just Cause 3 is pulling 3.5gb @ 1440 for me. That isn't even a visually stunning game, but open world titles probably the norm.

Interested to see what Rise of the Tomb Raider pulls in VRAM next week since its a modern non-open world game.

GPU first

monitor second

Nothing like having an awesome monitor you cant enjoy because of low frame rate...

Seems to be that way, although it's amazing how Witcher 3 managed to stay under 3GB at 1440P and be the best looking game of the year.

It just occurred to me that you can easily test 1440P performance before you get the monitor. Go into nvidia control panel and enable DSR with a factor of 1.75 (that's roughly 1440P upscaled from 1080P). Then you can open a game and set it to 1440P and see how it runs.

Kepler doesn't have DSR support, correct?

Nvm, Google answered it for me. I guess it came with the 344 drivers.

LINK

At launch of Maxwell this was exclusive to that architecture.

What monitor did you purchase and what is being used to push it? You have 2x980 Ti Classys or was that the previous gen?

Good idea. That's better than anything Devious has ever offered.

Yeah, I remember that being the case for a little while. It actually surprised me when NVidia rolled out support for a non-current-gen GPU.

I get it but the monitor may come available at a good price soon. He may also decide not to do it.
