finished build last night. couldn't help myself.
went well. right into BIOS. everything checks out. I must've done alright. runs pretty cool, decently quiet.
i still got to install OS tonight and other OS tools on SSD. I sure hope so.
i'm still curious as to if my OME copy of WIndows Ultimate will install on this box.

grats buddy
i finally got a chance to play Bioshock Inf and was blown the frick away by the graphics
and my rig is on the low end compared to most, here.
I just wandered around the introductory areas for about 60 minutes just looking at everything in amazement.
I speak in hyperbole often for shock value and my own personal entertainment. With that being said, playing BioShock on Ultra was a life changing experience last night

Due to me going to Las Vegas in may
And being In this beach volleyball league,
I need to be in shape. So i go do physical activities after work.
I don't get home and showered up until late.
So i just play a single player game or watch a movie.
No time for multiplayer on weekdays
Weekends though, yeah, i can see myself doin some wasteland with yall

Witcher 2 and Metro 2033 are both MUCH better for this, Infinate isn't that taxing.

Not at all.. My titans run around 55% power with everything up @1440.
My 7950 I need to test but assume it will destroy it. This game also has great launch drivers though.

You should be ok I ran ultra at 1080 with no issues on my 7950, my nephew ran ultra at 1080 on a much lesser card no issues. Is the jump from 1080 to 1040 really that taxing?

Same thing Im thinking. From what everyone is saying the game launched with great drivers.

Yes 1080 to 1440 is very taxing 1.5million more pixels so 30% more rendering.

gotta remember, i played on Xbox until last year and rarely purchase new games on my PC. mainly just old titles from steam for dirt cheap... a few triple A titles like d3 and gw2 here and there.
so yeah.. BI blew my fricking mind
I am a simple man, i can no longer dedicate as much time to video games as the younger version of me did. So my maiden voyage into Columbia was awe inspiring.

I totally understand about not being able to play anymore. I spend tons of money to game but never have time to do so.
Sucks getting old, RL jobs..
Same here though, the place has so much to see. I am really enjoying this title.

Yeah, I'm pleased with Bioshock's launch. Runs as it should. I'm getting just under 60fps at 1440p, everything maxed, and my 7970 just running stock.
If I max everything out in Crysis 3, I get about 15fps

I run on ultra playing BI with my 7870 ghz edition. I get about 60 fps. Problem is the game tears a lot if I don't enable vsync. When I enable vsync I get too much stuttering during certain parts when it drops below 60. master race problems...

I know we have discussed the 670 mini before but ASUS plans on releasing this week. This is an awesome card for real steam box gaming.
