Still haven't gotten my authorization email to post on the forums. Not feeling optomistic that they will even answer my email.

-----edit-----

Just got my forum access and I posted in the same thread, we will see how it goes.

The algae is likely due to air getting into the reservoir and thus contaminating your coolant. You have two options here. You can send the kit back to us and have us replace the coolant and the window for you. This will take about two to three weeks to complete due to my rather busy work schedule. Or we can send you a bottle of concentrated coolant, a replacement window, and items necessary to refill your kit once you’ve taken it apart and flushed it out. Which method would you prefer?

Not sure if I am confident enough to do it myself, but not having it for a month would be bad.

Swiftech actually sells colored replacement windows, and doesn't void the warranty when people replace their windows with it, so I imagine it's not something they consider to be difficult.

Instructions make it look very easy.

Warm water with a little bit of dish soap mixed in. Scrub with a soft bristle toothbrush or cloth. Flush with a weak vinegar solution (like a 5:1 or 10:1 ratio). Don't use anything harsher than that on acrylic parts. Flush with straight distilled water before adding their coolant.

holy shite I don't even know you you made sense of that, I'm not even going to fix it.

I'm assuming I can "flush" it by adding the mixtures and cycling the unit while out of the computer. I am not looking forward to having to remount the fans and tank, took an hour last time.

Motherboard: ASUS X99 Deluxe ATX
RAM: GSKILL Ripjaws 4 32GB 4GBx8 DDR4/2800MHz Quad Channel Memory
Video Card: EVGA Superclocked NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X 12GB GDDR5 x2
Power Supply: 1,300 Watts - EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2

When you scrub the algea and shite, you should try to rinse that out as much as possible before doing a flush. You want to prevent solid particles from traveling to the pump motor, as best as you can. Then reassemble, fill with a vinegar or soap solution and run it for a few minutes. Drain and then run straight distilled for a few minutes.

Yeah... a 900D with a single card and no water cooling. That has to look sad and desolate on the inside.

As much as I want a 980, I just cannot justify the price over the 970.

Yep, practically speaking, they are not worth the extra money. 970 is 85% of the 980's performance for 60% of the price.
