The complaining about graphic glitches is starting to get on my nerves, I play for objectives not waving grass.

I still play EQ once a year because the game is so damn good but it has shite graphics.

It's something I'd like to try out with a few of my favorite games at least once, but I wouldn't spend any money on it. Though I have considered paying the $20 for a Google Cardboard, but I'm afraid the experience would just be disappointing.

The HoloLens looks slightly intriguing though.

As a MMOer, I understand. Remembeing those beginning days of WoW, SWG and CoH bring back great memories with friends online. The best times I have had in game haven't come from solo play, but sharing the experience with others.

Hey guys I got a PC about 2 months ago. I didn't have the money to get the video card I wanted so I decided to hold back on it and use an old one.

CPU- i5 4690k
mobo- Asus Maximus VI hero
Ram corsair vengeance 8gb

I was wondering if you guys could suggest a video card around the 300-400 range.

What is your power supply (brand, model, wattage)? Depending on your response, probably the upcoming R9-390X for $389. And if you'd prefer the $329 price point, wait for benchmark comparisons between the R9-390 and GTX 970.

If true, hopefully the Fury undercuts the Ti.

Yeah, same. 1 Ti is paid for but the other I hope pulls a price drop, but afraid it won't be soon enough since I need/want the 2nd by July.

I was actually looking at the 970 before you mentioned it. Should I wait for anything specific to happen in regards to that card? I don't know if it's new or not.

Came out September/October of last year alongside the 980. If the current rumors are true, the R9-390 will debut at $329, which is the 970's MSRP. If the benchmarks Coyote posted above are true (and assuming these translate to performance in most games), the 390 will be a tad faster than the 970 for the same price. However, it's also possible that the 970 and 980 will get price drops mid-end of June. As it stands now, the 390 may be a more suitable card for resolutions above 1440p. Otherwise, it's a toss-up and I'd just go with the cheaper solution.

Just wait and see. Cards are supposed to be unveiled this month.

What program are you using to capture screen shots in W3?

Rivatuner to take the screenshot. To actually compose the screenshots (to get those good angles and whatnot), I'm using the debug console enabler mod from Nexusmods. I freeze the game with the "testpause" command in the console, and then F1 enables free cam, which I can use to get the composition right. Capturing the image without visible HUD is a bit tricky. Basically, hit the Esc/pause button and immediately hit the screencap hotkey you assigned in Rivatuner. When you pause and unpause, there's a split second delay where the screen is completely clear of all HUD. So I generally toggle pause/unpause with Esc button and take 5 or 6 screenshots.

Some come out like this, where you can faintly see the Pause menu fading in:

But generally one or two look perfect.

NM too much work.

I hate that newer games are getting away from print screen.

Well... alternatively, you can just pause the game and take a screenshot, and crop out the pause menu. I did that with a few of mine before getting the debug console enabler.

I changed the res to 4K before taking the screenshot so I can crop however I wanted and still retain an HD image.

So, it's getting time to replace a lot of parts in my PC. Will be looking at new video card in the $200-250 range. Any good suggestions (otherwise,, I just buy what has high reviews on NewEgg)?

Currently using a really old ATI 5830.

Think I am going to get this to replace the 240GB Samsung in my work laptop. I need more storage and I am not too worried about quality for it but it's still better than an HDD.

$139

Says 192?

What about crucial? I put a 500GB for 189 in the PS4.
