1100 will be a Pascal refresh. So a refined manufacturing process to yield lower temps and higher clocks. That is it.
I'm not an early adopter.

There is a slight premium for the best

This is not the case. The refresh is more than less a cash grab. Yes a refined process comes a better product but they market it as another Gen just for the cash grab.

In this case it is better to be one. You will get 1st priority driver support for a longer life span of the project.

Mine would probably be less than 50%. Couldn't care less. All my stuff is like 3 years old and runs anything I play just fine

I have the free one and it tests using Time Spy 1.0 instead of Firestrike 1.1.
Ran Time Spy since it's the free version available to everyone.

Thanks. I never really bothered with benchmarks. I feel like an unwashed heathen for not having a SSD in this computer
Probably my next purchase I guess. I really want to get a 4K monitor, too. Got way too much fire power not to have a quality output for it.

It's like moving from a black and white tv to a color tv, you didn't know what you were missing, but will never go back, I have two of them now.

Yeah, I need to get this done. I haven't installed a hard drive in forever, though, so that's part of the reason for my procrastination...just don't want to deal with it.
Plus, I don't know what I'm missing and...

Firestrike- 14,173
Time spy-5271
Stress test 99.6%
Can pass the benchmarks all day long @+48 mv. Takes +72 to pass the stress test.
I can get this w/o adding voltage.
Stress test
Not worth the extra 40mhz honestly.

My rig is dated TBH. The SLI 980s score better than a 1080, but I'd rather a single 1080 without question. Back when I was altcoin mining, I had 3 AMD Tahiti GPUs in one rig and got a pretty similar 3dmark score, but it was shite for gaming.

He is underwater and OC'd, I would be too if I knew how to do it right. He and a few others got me started and held my hand when I started building, a lot of knowledge on here.
The build is pretty much done.

fricking sick. Yuur timespy is literally double mine w/ a 6700k on a ASUS ROG HERO VIII Mobo. Had i not needed Monitor/mouse/headset/chair/desk/keyboard I'd of splurged on the CPU/MOBO a bit more too. Last GPU i installed previously was before PCI-E, was a learning experience.
