My point was that it is being done in stores for everything, not just video games. I had a friend who was a manager of a large retail women's clothing store in The Galleria and they would have theft rings returning merchandise from all over the country. For instance clothing would be stolen from California, shipped overnight to Houston and returned without a receipt for cash the next day. The info would be saved so the store would know who brought the stolen clothing back once they found out it was stolen.

As annoying as GS employees are, I don't really understand why I would go to them for trade-ins. How does the Amazon thing work?

Best Buy asked me my weight last time I traded some games in. I thought they were joking at first.

I bet they hate it when a fat woman comes in, and they have to ask her weight.
