I live in Crestview.

Anybody else have this to deal with at your local Gamestop, and how do you feel about it?

One of the comments in that article said that Best Buy requires the same thing now. Have never traded in games there, so I don't know.

The drivers license and other info is required to help cut down on people returning stolen merchandise for cash. Most large retailers will require a DL number if you return something without a receipt and will cap the number of times you can do this (Target for instance). I don't have a problem with giving some info but thumbprints seem to be over the top.

I think they could cut down on some of the required info (weight?), but I wouldn't mind some of it.......a long as it's a one-time thing. There's no reason they can't keep all of that info on file and just require just a license every time. I'm sure most people are really complaining because of the time it takes.

I can see if the amount being traded in was large enough to make a dif...... But, More action is taking place on Game Theft probably to show the moms who check the rating systems, that something is being done... A tax accessor mustve lost all his money on games at game stop and didnt sign up for the Power Plus card in time. You think theyre trying to stop game trading as an ultimate goal?
