NES --> SNES --> PSX --> Dreamcast --> PS2 --> Xbox 360 --> PS3 --> PS4 --> PS5

I did buy other systems in between but those were my primary consoles.

NES
Sega Genesis
PS1
PS2
PS3
PS4
Will be PS5

I've owned basically every major console release. Nintendos have always been the least used.

I tend to always go Sony first, with PS3 being the biggest initial snafu of the group. I enjoyed it. The initial price for the 60 gig launch was egregious, and it took a long time for it to catch up to the Xbox 360 in terms of quality.

Aside from that, Sony has always seemed to deliver quality at a decent price with excellent first party titles.

I'll get both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. I like what MS is doing with Gamepass.

Primarily used systems for each generation went 2600, NES, Gameboy, Genesis, PS1, PS2, DS, XB360, 3DS, Switch.

As systems get marked down, and I got older and had more, I tended to accumulate more systems.

At this point, I’m probably staying more with portable systems / hybrid systems like the Switch due to reasons of convenience considering most of what I play doesn’t tend to require cutting edge hardware.
