I haven't gamed on PC in almost 3 years. My last GPU purchased was a 1080 SC. Will need some monitor suggestions as mine are from probably 2014.

You could have built one for less than half that

The hardware is fine, but that case looks like a fricking hotbox, and it doesn't give any details about either the PSU or the CPU cooler. Also, I don't trust Dell prebuilts at all at this point.

ETA: It is silly overpriced, but I hesitate to even bring that up considering we currently live in the GPU apocalypse.

First one i built cost 1500 and only had a gtx780 and a 4th gen 770k. Are the specs bad?

Still have my full sized atx rig with a burned up processor. I could always switch everything over I guess. Thanks for the input.

Haven't followed closely but I have noticed the trend im shortages. Main reason I didn't bother trying to build again.

It's a lot better today than it was six months ago, but it's still pretty brutal. With that said, my concern about prebuilts like this are, like I mentioned, the less sexy components. What's the mobo? What's the PSU? What's the CPU cooler? I would be disinclined to ever buy a PC without knowing those details. Just too much can go wrong.

The GPU alone is 900 bucks by today's scalped prices so it's an ok deal, although the components other than the GPU are probably worth 300 tops. I've seen worse rip offs.

Monitor selection is extremely application specific. What are you playing? Are you also working on it? Single player or competitive?

It will vary. I can go from fps to facebook games. My son is a 9 year old kid genius techy so he may be using it some.

Reading a little i just got basics... curved is better for immersion and for eye strain.... higher refresh rate and response time is better.

I am used to 24-27" dual setup but im sure i wouldnt hate a triple. Minimum 240hz as sort of a future proof.

Everything and anything. I haven't pc gamed in years but im everything from civ to WoW to CoD, back to ARK and over to witcher and mass effect. Im still big into mobile gaming so i want to do some streaming using bluestacks as well. In a top tier guild for wild rifr and need to get some montages put together.

So i guess a couple of 27" 1440 monitors with good refesh and response is where Ill go. 240/1ms or better.

Im pretty sure the PSU it comes with is 500W so i may just upgrade to a modular 750W as soon as I get it.

That cpu is worth $300 by itself. The windows key is $40, $100 psu, $100 in ram, $100 moba, $40 case, $30 in fans. It's not a bad deal. I don't necessarily trust the QC but I'm sure it is warrantied.

I just ordered this because I've been waiting a year to pick up 3080ti. The combo is on sale with a really good base build (like $1300 build) for only like $600 more than scalper price for a 3080ti. So my wife gets a good pc, with my old gtx 1070 and I get my 3080ti.

best buy pre-built pc

I think this would be a better deal for you.

I would trust them more than Dell, it's cheaper, you won't need a new psu, case or fans and you'll get it in 2-5 days. The only downside is you'll have 16gb ram instead of 32gb but you could always pick up a matching ram kit for $50-70.

Hmmm smaller ssd but I have another 500gb in old rig. Ill call dell later and see how much of a paint it will be to cancel.

ETA: thanks!

Yea I forgot about the ssd difference as well. Both upgrades ram/ssd would still be cheaper in price not to mention the other upsides. Also if you have a best buy credit card you can grab it on 18mo interest free financing on top of getting 5% cash back at best buy. If you open a new card you'll get 10% cash back on your first day of purchases as well so that's like an extra $70-140 you can spend on something else.
