My brother is big into computer games, and needs a new computer monitor an for his bday i was gonna get him a new monitor..
I have no idea on where to even begin on whats good and what not. He plays some fps and some other game that i have no idea what kind of game it is, along with sports games.
I was looking at getting him something between 24-27 inches so with the Gaming Boards help, can yall help point me in the right direction is the best gaming monitor for him thats not over 350 preferbably.. TIA

I like my 23" it feels like anything bigger would be too much screen to keep up with sitting at a desk.

I got two of THESE off of eBay and they're basically brand new. Mine work perfectly, and I think they're better than having one 24-27"

I disagree. 27in is the sweet spot.

I got a 27 in Samsung LED for $299

get the smallest 1080p monitor you can get. That's probably between 21-23 inches.

High pixel density is good, and a smaller viewing area allows faster reaction.

eta: I'm eyeing this one LINK

The model that bluebarracuda posted is the one that I have, albeit bought it new from New Egg.

The 23" ASUS VH236H is legit

Damn that is a nice deal.

Fricking Apple spoiled me with IPS panels. Every monitor I purchase now has to be an IPS display. Everything else just looks ugly, it is a damn curse I tell you!

I have 2 23" LG IPS panel LEDs and love them. If you are interested in spending more for IPS.

right now I'm dual monitor with a 17" 720p and a 19" 1440x900. Once I get to Houston I'm going to go to microcenter and get a 21.5 1080p and dump the 17".
