let me see if I can recreate it. If Elden Ring's bright areas didnt trigger this, I don't know what would, but I want to try

Doubt it happens bc it didn’t with Elden Ring on my C2

The only time I notice any ABL on my LG G3 77 inch is when the game has a static image for too long.

I haven’t played on my S90C nearly as much but when I did a bunch of Elden Ring and DS there was zero ABL issues.

Sounds like S90D either has a bug or you are playing something with large static elements at max brightness.

I play on an S90C and the only time I have ever noticed ABL is when I stop playing and put my controller down (which is the static image issue you mentioned). As soon as I start moving again, the brightness goes back to normal. I have never noticed any changes while actually playing.

yes, I think we've all experienced this. I've never been playing actively playing a game before and then had it do that, I can't even fathom the tech being overtuned enough for that to happen

I went from being afraid of burn in to not caring because my Dell OLED is so much better than my last two $1300 monitors and not even close. I'll buy a new on every year if burn in is a problem because the colors, true dark blacks and intense HDR lighting are just that good. And I bought the Ultrawide 1440 model which was only $800.

No clue what your issues are because my experience has been nothing short of exceptional.

I am now trying with HDR disabled to see how well it holds brightness

Most of you are talking about monitors which may potentially have less aggressive ABL than televisions, but I can't say for sure. HDR is also not as prevalent in the PC gaming space, so that may be why

And you would be wrong. As I mentioned in my other post. I went from worrying about OLED to not giving a shite about burn-in. I don't care how long it lasts. This screen is so much better than anything I have ever owned and it isn't even close. And my last 2 monitors were $1300+.

I think you have some setting that is causing you pain. I haven't adjusted anything with my screen and it is amazing.

I've tweaked a few things in game. HDR still looks like washed out dogshit in Cyberpunk but everything else I have played on the OLED with HDR has looked amazing.

Hmm, i notice this while playing diablo 4. The brightness just randomly changes. I thought it was a glitch in the game because i dont notice it on other games. Bu maybe its my sony tv doing that.
