Doing the procedure this afternoon if they can fit it in. Today is very stressful.

No procedure today because they are filled up. That should mean the morning but there are no guarantees.

While she does have to have it done, it doesn't have to be done this second. They were already full today so they had her on the waiting list in case the others didn't show. Don't ask me why others would possibly not show.

The nurse said the same thing but then added that because of their reputation they have kids coming from all over the country so sometimes they just can't make it in time. I just can't imagine.

She has pulmonary valve stenosis. They have to put a cath in her femoral artery and go up to the heart to open a valve with a balloon.

No its not possible to really. it's a 'leaflet' in the heart that is closed while in the womb but is supposed to open when she comes out. Hers didn't open.

I don't have any exact answers on that. I think it depends. I'm sure there will be regular checkups over the years.
