I think it has more to do with the cowbells.
I think the list is not great but they were going to make people mad no matter what.
Bama and Georgia in top 5 just because of their rosters is something.
LSU, PSU and UF are in my top 3.

They didn't do their research. Just like having Virginia Tech #17. They have played like trash at home recently. Enter Sandman(which won't be in the game)is one of the greatest entrances but that shouldn't make them automatically be top 25.

My actual take is that the depth should make this a solid game.
Even if the gameplay is more Madden like now, the details and depth of college football integrated should make this a better title than Madden.

The inconsistency is what gets me. Having Bama and UGA that high really leans on the fact that their teams are just generally better than anyone they play at home, so yea they are going to win. Their win % isn't vastly different on the road though.
Then you have ones like FSU where the ranking is laughable and they've not been that good a team to warrant it and the atmosphere has been abysmal there.
Auburn bias of course, but 14 is a joke. We've had the worst stretch of of football in a very, very long time and JHS is still one of the hardest places to play year in and year out.
I'd assume this will be dynamic as it has been that way in year's past.

Sights and Sounds will be a crucial part of gameplay imo.
If it feels like a big game then you can overlook some of the quirky stuff.
