So these sliders aren’t “bad” for Heisman but I still had to lower it down to varsity. I’m just a complete retard when playing this game.

Damn, guys I’ve given up on defense but started getting “too good” at offense so I went to bump it up. It’s already on All American.

At this point I think the AI keys in if you ply the same player to many plays in a row. I’ve had the most success mixing up the shell constantly, switching who I play as every couple plays.

Yeah, the nostalgia factor will fade if it continues to be this difficult. No one wanted a football sim like MLB The Show.

I disagree. I got Madden last year the first day it came out and was hoping to enjoy it. I played it about a week and gave up. This one I've been playing a week and still addicted. I don't see me getting tired of it anytime soon. I have my sliders on AA playing really well, so defense hasn't been too big of an issue for me like it has for some.

Started my LSU dynasty and Whit Weeks is a beast lol. He got 4 sacks vs Michigan and 4 on USC. Perkins went out my first game though. I did try RTG first and lsu lost to usc and south carolina. So I decided to take matters in my own hands and do a dynasty

Is it the menu voice? If so, you can turn that off under accessibility options.

I got a 10 hour preview with Game Pass and that's effectively "scratching the itch." I'll pick up a physical copy later when it's on sale and play some more. Maybe around Black Friday or something like that.

I just learned to stop trying to sprint everywhere and only use sprint to accelerate/get a burst. Guess that mechanic was taken from the madden games or something. Past NCAAs you would just sprint every second.

Whit Weeks has been a beast for me too. Leads the team in Ints with 5 through the first 6 games.
Also the Jet touch pass in the LSU playbook is too easy.

No way his sliders are useful for pass blocking in heisman difficulty. I’ve ticked it up one notch at a time from 50 to 100 and gone into games to test it.
At this point, no setting in sliders keeps your Oline from being complete garbage on heisman difficulty.

You’re falling into exactly what the poster you responded to was talking about.
12 years between editions of this game makes it awesome, simply because we got it back.
Had the game been released every year and we got this game, as it is now (like Madden or FIFA) and we’d be dragging EA for how poorly it plays.
At this point, the enjoyment is 100% contentment that we have a college football game. It’s objectively a bad game right now.
That said, I’m still playing it, because it’s CFB.
