Yeah, she is DLC, but was my fav squadmate. I used her on most all my missions and never had to revive her once.

Mordin usually ended up dying because there is some formula for who lives and dies in the final section based upon the characters you didn't take to battle the boss. Guys like Grunt and Zaeed are more valuable holding the line than Mordin and Thane.

no. Get loyalty from all of them and no one dies

Erroneous. You can have full loyalty of the squad and still lose people in the final section depending on who you leave behind.

Yeah, and you got to have them loyal too.
My a-hole Shep ratted on Tali's dead dad and she died during the final mission.

This.
My party was at full loyalty and Mordin found ways to kill himself.
I had to babysit him to get him out alive.

oh my bad. I guess I chose right. I never had someone die that was loyal.
Send legion down the shaft,
Let Samara make the shield,
Let Miranda take the second fire team
Send jack to bring the people back to the ship

I've never lost someone when I've made all upgrades, everyone is loyal and when I
Send Tali in the shaft
Samara holds the sheild
Garrus leads 2nd team both times
Send Mordin back with the crew.

Well those are the obvious things, the trick is who to bring along to fight the boss. You ideally want to bring along Thane and Kasumi since they hold less defensive value than Zaaed and Grunt. I remember taking Zaaed and Legion with me to the boss, lo and behold the camera pans over a dead Mordin on the way out (with full loyalty too). It's all about the hold the line section.

that's weird. I never even use Mordin for anything. I just let him do whatever
Posted on 2/29/12 at 12:53 pm to sbr2
I most always take Kasumi & Grunt on the last boss battle and have no deaths. I did lose two when I took Zaaed.
I'm going to load that game and make some changes to see, if I can get a pissed off Tali through.

Irrelevant, what is relevant is who you took with you to fight the boss. Do you remember who you took?

I sent Mordin back to the ship with the survivors and took Tali and Kasumi to fight the boss.
Everyone survived.

That's how to do it, remove the one most likely to die via escort. Mordin is supposed to be a STG badass yet he is always dying.

My Shepard(vanguard) chose:
screwed Liara and Tali
killed Kaiden (of course)
saved Wrex
let the archani queen live
all of my squadmates lived.
blew up the collector base.

I always sent him back with the survivors and he always lived.

Mordin was the only one that died for me (and I had his loyalty). He was my favorite character, so I'm unlikely to use my old save when I play ME3 since I don't really feel like playing ME2 all over again. I believe I read something about being able to enter in what choices you made in the previous 2 at the beginning of ME3 (not sure if it was just a rumor). Hopefully that is the case.

Legion-shaft
Samara-field
Mordin-escort crew back to ship
Garrus the second team, because Garrus is my homeboy, when he is not working on his calibrations.
