In the non-spoiler thread
ETA: Just started B&W and somehow went up two-levels are just meeting some bros. Went from 37 to 39, so if you're close to 34 don't worry about not being high enough.

Why do games let you pre-load only to make your download pretty much the whole game when it actually releases? B&W is doing this on GOG but I notice all the time on Steam.
Like the new menu layout a lot.

Charm is so overpowered.
I didn't much use AXII first time around.
This time I accidentally used it at a spot I got killed a million times first play through.
That Velen jail with the smith.
Those bandits killed my arse a million times before I finally gave up.
This time I planned to just use my standard fire on them but had axii set. Charmed and gore killed the level 16e even though I am just 10. Done and done.
Also, this time around, since I know what I'm doing. The old stinky werewolf went down with ease. Helped that I had the right bomb all ready to go.

Puppet master (the AA axii) is also nice to open with for sure...but I find it hard to recast it mid fight especially if you have crossbow men firing at will on you.
But if you can get regular axii off and strong attack the stunned victim it's almost always an instant kill.
Oddly enough I don't recall where you are referring to...jail in velen with bandits and smith?
Dancing star bomb obliterates humans

This is how you play gwent baws.

5 spies
Your opponent should have horned his combat row. Eta: actually maybe he saw you had a Frost waiting if that's the "look at 3" Nilfgaard leader
I just picked up Ciri.
I like having a scoie'tel deck for when facing monsters.
The spy decoy medic meta game is fun stuff

Turned my game on today and there's a completely new interface. Completed 3-4 quests tonight and got anywhere from 2-15 exp for each instead of the usually high point totals. This happened to anyone else? I'm going around gathering allies before heading to the isle of mists fwiw

The only thing I know about this, is that if you're like six levels higher than the recommended lvl for the mission, then you get a lot less exp.

Ive had a big problem with this. I over leveled for pretty much the whole novigrad arc for doing so much side shite and I'm only 2 levels away from being over leveled for skellige

This happened to me in my play through. I hit a game breaking bug that prevented me from advancing the main quest and for about a week all I could do was side quests.
Even when you're over leveled it somewhat evens its way back out since you aren't getting near as much exp for completing lower lvl missions.

Once you get to Velen there is a little village not to far from the entry point. They are missing their smithy.
Southwest along the water, you come up on a group of bandits. There are a few tents and couple of shacks. One of the shacks has a jail cell.
If you happen to head this direction right after leaving White Orchard, you will get destroyed by the level 16 deserters and 2 guys firing crossbows.
That happened to me on first playthrough and I hadn't quite learned that running was not only viable but necessary in many locations.

what the hell is going on in this pic?
I was holding off on gwent till I was done with more of the story, well I did the mission at the ball and couldn't beat the second guy because my deck sucks, so I said frickit ill come back. finished the mission and got a quest failed notice.
are you telling me ill have to start all over if I want to collect them all?

Yes.
Or pick a save from before the ball and don't do it yet. There are 3 cards you can only get at the ball
whats going on in that PIC is McCaigBro going ALL IN in round 2 and holding a frost card till the last moment just in case the opponent Horned his close combat row.

Ohh a person in distress. Gotcha.
Those guys are really important to save because they sell gwent cards

Faced off with a skellige deck user, that was... interesting. Basically just removed all decoy cards from my deck since this guy had none of his own, aka he wouldn't send my spies back to me like the other decks

what is the skellige meta? ive avoided checking but am curious
if NR is spies and siege
Nilf is spies and medics
Scoie'tel is Muster and Agility and medics
Monster is raw muster close combat power
what is skellige "good at" ?
