I saw where you could turn off the other stuff, just not herbs. It doesn't kill the game or anything

Maybe I'll start and play Gwent correctly this time.

Not sure if you can. I don't recall ever wanting to, so I'm thinking it becomes less of a clutter issue after White Orchard.

Like I said it doesn't kill me. I just want to remove temptations to keep gathering herbs

Posted on 5/11/16 at 12:46 pm to Mr Gardoki
I stopped gathering herbs very shortly after White Orchard. It was much easier to simply accumulate money and buy the ingredients I needed whenever possible.

I don't need anything
but it's everywhere

I'm trying to get the collect 'em all achievement I missed the first time around

I need to do this also.

I feel like this game would be a 500 hour platinum
Posted on 5/11/16 at 1:31 pm to Mr Gardoki
I may or may not have put around 350 hours into my first run. It was my first Witcher game so I explored everything

Posted on 5/11/16 at 1:38 pm to Mr Gardoki
I'm not sure how many hours I put into it my first run but it was well over 100+ and I didn't come close to getting all the ? marks and other side quests.

Downloaded the first DLC gonna give them game a serious try this time. Anything I should make sure I do in the beginning, certain builds, focus on certain skills and things of that nature?

I was at 250+ hours when I completed everything in the story and all question marks.
It's kind of crazy how poor you are at the beginning of the game, but about mid-way you start just swimming in gold
Posted on 5/11/16 at 2:14 pm to McCaigBro69
Yep, which I was very glad it happened. I hate when money is always an issue even in the latter half of games. All the monsters you slay, you should be swimming in gold

I started a new playthrough in NG+. Want to do the quests I either ignored or fricked up and want a better ending.

Gwent is pretty fun, but is there any real benefit to building a strong deck and getting proficient? Also what about recommendations on general strategy?
Posted on 5/11/16 at 2:52 pm to CoachKlein
There are missions later on that you can get some pretty good items from, so I'd say it is worth it. Also, there is a good potential outcome from a tournament too, but won't spoil it.

Not really outside of a few quests. I think you can get a decent amount of money later in the game playing it.
I just really enjoy playing it

Mine has always been to try to use a bunch of spy cards (to get more cards in to my deck) and a decoy card or two out there on the first round to get my opponent to waste as many cards as possible on the first round. I just then try to win the 2nd round with some low cards and go all out in the final round.
