I think the cross play should help this. When I swapped to controller, I was in PlayStation and Xbox lobbies.

Maybe? If we played together, you on M/KB and me on controller, we’d be in a mixed input lobby. If I play by myself with a controller, it will look for controller lobbies first.

I don't think so, skimmed through twitter and it's rough seas out there for the game.
Maybe the larger scale 32v32 will be better.

Same ole CoD. The majority of people that have moved on aren't coming back at this point, and another meh CoD isn't changing that. Not really sure where this franchise fits in anymore with gamers, especially younger ones.
I played some last week on console and then tonight on PC, console was funner. Was already getting bored though and that's the key.

PC yeah solo, I'll try it again tomorrow when its open and I'll have a few to play with or wait until Saturday for the bigger larger scale game mode that is 32v32.

Ole' finchmeister and I had a romping good time last night. Fun game IMO. That Gunfight mode is pretty dope.
