I have already lost 4 companions and I am only level 12.

So I just noticed that laundry needs to be done, food needs to be bought, and home needs to be cleaned. This game is turning my productive into shite. BTW, kinda disappointed in the ddwnbreaker sword.

The final fight to get it was a gigantic pain in the arse. I kept using the Sanguine Rose and conjure spells while running back and forth because I couldn't even get close to him and one of his spells was a one hit kill.

Most weapons are a disappointment, until you use smithing to increase the damage. Mine does around 37 base damage

Yea, I had to use some resist cold and get behind him and tag team him with Vilkas. The shades were easy enough. I just bottled them up in the doorway and took them on one at a time. So I guess I need to do some smithing and build my shite up.

Okay, can someone send a screenshot of what an ore vein looks like? I have no idea what to be looking for (not that I've been looking very intently).

Just look for them in clearly marked MINES. You will rarely see them outside.

A large flatish rock mostly buried in the ground.. kinda?

Also I found a list of console commands but I'm resolute on not using any of them..

..except for trying to resurrect lydia since i'm companion bugged apparently.

You will companion bugged until you accept another quest that forcibly adds a companion. I had the same problem but once I accepted a quest where someone needed to tag along, it fixed it.

Hmmm just thought about it, I accepted a quest that involves one of the companions as a Shield-brother.. but not until I meet him at some abandoned fort or rotting cave or some shite.. you know the usual..

I used a companion to help me carry as much weapons and armor as I can and sold it. Added benefit of developing your speech.

Honestly once you get in the teens gold is easy to come by, mine varies between 3-10 thousand depending on if I want to spend some money crafting or buy furnishings for my house or buy a bunch of new spells or buy skillups from a trainer..

Except for that one mine that is on the way to Riverrun from Helgen. I went back to it after I got a pickaxe and didn't see any veins. There is a lot of ingots and stuff laying around in one room though.

Other dungeons will have them I believe though. I went into one of the crypts involved with a main quest and ran across a vein, but didn't have a pickaxe.

Yeah most mines and some dungeons have them. I've been pulling in a lot since I got a pickaxe

Oh another good way to make money..

Buy iron ore from blacksmithing vendors use the spell "transmute" to turn it to silver/gold.. create jewelry out of said gold (or sell it).. enchant jewelry with basic enchantments (or sell it).. sell to mage vendors (5-7 of them in college with 1kish gold each)..

So you make money while getting speech/blacksmithing/enchanting skillups

Do any of y'all 2 handed beast warriors carry a bow around? I sometimes have a hard time pissing off dragons enough to make them come fight me.
