I'm pretty sure I'm awful at this game, but I still love playing it nonetheless.
I have no idea how to make a good build. I s'pose that all comes with more playing experience?
I don't even think I know how to maximized my build's abilities at this point? I'm only lvl. 9 though.
Only minor complaint, and I can only relate this to the nearest possible experience of WoW for me, since while it's a bit different, style RPG styled... I don't like how I don't know "levels" of the things I encounter.
I enjoyed in WoW that if I came across something better I could tell and try to run for my life. This it's just take a gamble and you may get fricked up.
But again, that's probably something that comes from experience.

Yeah, I tend to agree with this. My advice is, when a mob hits you and a third of your heath bar disappears, it is probably time to start running.

I know all this. I activate the quest I want to show in the map.i then hit show quest on map and it works fine. After I do that, it still doesn't always show it on my compass. I have to create a custom way point. And actually that doesn't always show up either.
+10000
It simply does not work on mine.

Yeah, I have that quest to go into one of the mines (can't remember the name off the top of my head) and kill some bandit leader or some such.
I killed the initial camp. Go in, kill the first guy. But the 2nd room has a guy with a flame axe thing, and another guy casting spells, and they just destroy me. 2 hits and I'm toast.
May have more to do with me just sucking at combat though.

That's odd. Mine all show up. Although for one quest it shows that the waypoint is on the top of a cliff, but when I went there, there wasn't anything there.

I remember that quest. They did the same thing to me
I just sent Lydia to attack and wear them down a bit and then I came in and finished them off.

I just fought my 2nd dragon (at the burial mound). He killed me the 1st time, but the 2nd time I crept up behind where I knew he would show up and backstabbed him with both daggers twice for 15x damage each time. He died in about 2 seconds.

Anyone come in contact with the Dark Brotherhood yet?
I'm avoiding doing the main quest line for the most part and I've joined the Companions, College of Winterhold, and the Bards. Just looking to get into my favorite guild.
Also, is there a coliseum in this one?

I need to enlist someone like that. I keep forgetting to do that.
So, once I hire this bitch, does she just follow me around 24/7? Or can I be like, 'Hey bitch, stay here for a while while I go snipe some wolves.'

So if you get married and meet a chick you like better can you get divorced, or perhaps kill your current wife with no witnesses and then get maried again?

Awesome. Welp, I know what I'm doing when I get home.

This game is awesome.

Alright dudes, just got this game but have to wait til I get back home to play it.
Never played one of these before but had heard great things.
Who/what should I start playing out as that is kind of an all around type? Is there anything specific I should know before I just go cruising around?

YOu have to select the quest as well as the word miscellaneous on the left side

You may want to start as a warrior. It will be the simplest class. Choose Nord as your race and start using a sword and shield or a two-handed weapon. When you level up, choose perks in heavy armor or one-handed/two-handed, depending on what you chose.
eta: Also, don't worry about doing everything perfectly on your first try. You'll probably decide to start a new character after you get the hang of it.

I picked by who I thought looked the coolest.

I went in blind and just started trolling around.

Our friends over at VGChartz are reporting at least 3.4 million units of Skyrim …an RPG, have been sold so far. Might be worth mentioning that 3.4 million does not include digital copies of the game sold, this is just physical units. The sales numbers break out as follows:
•XBox 360: 2,000,000 copies
•PS3: 900,000 copies
•PC: 475,000 copies
