You won't be able to create your character as a vampire. However, there will be vampires in Skyrim and it stands to reason that you could become one.

Yes you can become a vampire among other things...

Both vampirism and lycanthropy are contractible diseases in Skyrim

Hair gel and a Volvo is not included with the disease.

I hope vampire hunting is just as thorough.

What are you looking for in terms of thoroughness.....you just kill them

Cool locations. Maybe lines of blood to trace. Good loot specifically for and from hunting vampires. I hope they just aren't like boars in the world. There, but no real purpose except to kill.
People in towns that may or may not be vampires. Would be awesome.

There was a single quest where you had to clear one cave of them.
But they were random throughout ruins and other map locations for the most part.
To CURE yourself of vampirism was a thorough, LONG, side quest. (or you could just buy the evil lair)

Not to mention curing via the Evil Lair screws up the quest as well. That was aggravating.

Woot Woot! Looks like they are bringing some of the Fallout 3 gore to Skyrim.
Just saw a vid with finishing moves. Not quite as gory as 3 but people don't just fall over dead with zero carnage like past games.

Didn't get that. Didn't want to do the long quest, so i just downloaded the lair.
The only bug like that I had was in the thieves guild. The mission about stealing a ring from the nighstand of a princess/queen. Ring never appeared in the box, and my thieves guild adventures were OVER. Could never get beyond that bug.

Finishing Moves
Don't watch it if you don't want to be spoiled on some of the gore.
I know saying that will make most click it anyway.

Didn't see it but they're saying that Quests in Skyrim never end. Like they're unlimited quests.

Skyrim’s Radiant quest system will continue to make procedurally generated missions for as long as you play it. The examples he uses are things like an innkeeper asking you to hunt bandits in areas you haven’t visited yet or an alchemist asking you to find ten flowers. Todd Howard spoke about the Skyrim system before in an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine UK but this is the first time he’s mentioned infinite potential.

I doubt that's true, but if you do all the side missions, explore all the locations, and complete the inevitable DLCs that will come along, it will certainly feel that way. I am going to be playing this for a loooooooooooong time.
ETA: I stand corrected. That's pretty awesome, although I'm sure the quests get very repetitive.

I agree that they will probably be boring and repeatative. Th 25th time a shop keeper asks me to kill some bandits his azz is toast "I'll be back when the sun goes down mister!"

Oh no doubt they become repetitive but it does provide some longevity if you're a hardcore player.
