There is usually a really simple clue. try looking behind the statues, on the walls, etc.
and that puzzle is in a ton of caves in skyrim

I'm about to go on a smithing/enchanting/brewing spree. Once I get some dope gear created, I'm gonna go around and get all of the dragon masks.

I am having issues buying the house in Markarth. Ive done the Forsworn Conspiracy and did a few "go here and kill bandit leader" style quests for the jarl and his helper but no dice. Am I missing something?

Don't have a quest for that like I did in solitude. I'll see if I can find a few I haven't done though.

so i did the drinking challenge with the guy win whiterun
woke up in the temple of dibella in markarth
decided to pickpocket my way into the temple's inner sanctum
got attack by a bunch of women priests
killed them all
stole their statue
did i frick sumthin up for the future?

I handled that one a bit different
Probably got a pretty good sized bounty on you but other than stealing the statue I don't remember a quest involving that temple. There is a guy in Markarth who wants you to steal that statue for him so you have the means to complete that quest.
Shouldn't affect you overall

Not sure if it's not possible to get after killing everyone but you can get a great conjuration weapon by completing that quest correctly

I considered this. Then I saved my game and slaughtered everyone in that stairway infested shithole town and now I have lots of houses!

i haven't played in a week or so. I got a little bored with it after creating my daedra armor, but I still have so much more to do. not including i still haven't beaten the game. but i remember last time I played I was having so much trouble with markarth. I had done some quest for a priest and was being pinned for a murder and they threw me in jail. That turned into a new quest, and I had to get all my shite back. i didn't want to so that quest then, so i loaded the save just before that, right where the guards give me the option to come peacefully or fight, so I chose to fight and I'm pretty sure I killed every guard in that city, but now guards of other cities want me too, so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. just gonna get arrested and do that quest i guess.

I just did that. I just killed a bunch of guards, ran into the Warrens and killed the rest of them. There were no survivors and nobody questioned me again

I completely own Solitude, killed all the fricking guards. Left the people alone though, it's nice to have a 20k bounty and walk around like it ain't shite.

It was great because once i went into the Warrens, I turned around and Fus Ro Dah'd them and got enough space between us where they basically were running at me in single file. After that, firebolts all day. It was like target practice
