Think I just ran into a broken quest... Doing the haunted house one where I have to find the priest, well I found him and it says to return to the house, but when I do, nothing happens.
Did you go all the way through the house to the daedric shrine in the basement?

The only broken quest I've come across is Boethia's Calling.

I have all the houses, all the shouts maxed, mq is done, run all the guilds, and have all the daedric artifacts. I have not run into a broken quest yet.

So I'm curious as to what people's approach to playing this game is now. With the doing away of classes do you find yourself playing an all-round character who does everything (magic, melee, archery, stealth, etc), or do you play a specific way?

I have created probably 5 different characters now trying to decide what I want to play as. I get into the story and the "role playing" aspect as it just doesn't make sense for me to be a sword + shield nord joining the thieves guild or even the mages college. I'll play a certain way for hours and then decide "well I think I'd rather play as a dark elf", then I'm starting all over again. I have retrieved the golden claw 5 times now, but it's after that where I have trouble committing to a certain character.

Right now I have re-rolled a female dark eld fighter-assassin. I'll probably get the damn claw and revert to one of my other characters.

Thought I did, but couldn't find anything to interact with and nothing happened on it's own, i'll go check again though in a bit.

Just for clarification, this isn't the first time I've been to the house, I went, then was told to go find this guy, now I'm supposed to go back.

ETA: Found it, didn't see the path that went farther down...

How do you warrior types take down dragons?

It seems like it would be next to impossible to survive longer than 10 seconds if I tried to run up to him and hack him down.

Archery if they don't land. I've never had a problem hacking when they land though. That was actually my main attack when I was weaker. I got right behind the wing but just in front of the tail and went to town. They had trouble hitting me.

3 shots with my over powered bow and then either shock their arse or whack them with my glass great sword that takes 20 pts health per hit

All the while my mage follower is usually hitting him with chain lightning

Dragonrend is a shout you get in the mainquest line that makes killing dragons easy peasy. Makes them land and has a quick recharge count, so any time they start breathing at you just shout it at their face to make them stop. Then just hack and hack away.

Before I had that I had a sheild that I would switch to when they breathed at me.

Just curious, what bow does everyone use? I currently use an ebony bow I found and I like it a lot, apparently there is a really good one you get from the thieves guild though, might have to check that out soon.

The only weapons I carry are two enchanted daggers and 4 bows. All ebony (Fiery, Shcoking, Frost, soul trap), and flawless.

I've recently found myself only using the soul trap bow (when needed), but mostly the bound bow. I have no idea how the damage is determined, but it's wrecking shite. All the while boosting my conjuration, and never worrying about arrows.

I stashed the other 3 in whiterun last night. Only carrying one bow and two daggers now.

This is what I do right now, I have an ebony bow (just realized I never honed it, I'll do that when I get home) and a pair of dwarven daggers that have been honed, I also carry Mehrunes (sp?) Razor and will use that from time to time as my 2nd dagger just for fun.

What level are you and what type of stuff do you have?

I'm 37 now, and for about 5 levels now, I just stand toe to toe and hack the fricker to death.

If you have the invite to the Dawnstar Museum (I think you get it at level 20) go complete that quest and you'll then be able to go to a shrine and kill 4 deadra every few days and get free hearts that way.
