I used the unarmed attack a few times, It hasn't given me a level up indicator yet as it does when using wielded weapons. I'll look into it when I play again.

Cool thanks, I wonder how it's damage is calculated.

I have no clue how it's calculated but I'm knocking enemies out with 1 or 2 attacks
there is nothing to upgrade on it either that I can see.

So for someone who's never played any of these games how likely is it that I will be able to get into it?
I've heard some posters say this kind of game moves too slow, etc. but I've heard great reviews from just about everywhere. My collection now consists of BF3, Batman AC, MW2, GTA IV, NCAA 12, Bioshock. Traded in Madden and the Orange Box not too long ago.

If by "these types of games" you mean RPGs then I think you should get with a friend and see if you are into it before you spend your money.
Most people either love RPGs or they are bored to death by them.
If you mean the Elder Scrolls games then you will be able to play and enjoy from the start. Bethesda makes all the Elder Scrolls games in a way that you can play any of them without playing what came before.
The big thing is that The Elder Scrolls series are wide open. You can go where you want, when you want and do and be pretty much anything you please. Hell, there people out there that have never finished the main quest in Morrowind or Oblivion, and they still play the games and still make mods for them.

These games are VERY slow paced. You'll play for 3 hours and realize you've barely made any progress. Now it's slow paced but it's anything but boring. There are many different things to do and many distractions.
Put it this way, if you're looking for an action game then this isn't for you.

Ever play Fallout 3? That would give you the best indication. It's going to be a mix of Fallout, GTA in a fantasy setting. That's about the best way to describe it in terms of mainstream games.

If you enjoyed AC and bioshock you'll enjoy it imho

xbox
I would think since it was ported to the PS3 if I'm not mistaken. And the xbox is more PC-like in terms of compatibility.

You must get the PC version

I just switched my pre-order from ps3 to 360. My ps3 keeps freezing on me every few hours. Besides I heard that 360 gets dlc a month early plus all the footage has been shown on 360 so...
ETA: Also I'd stay off the other forums. Major plot spoilers are being leaked. I've happened to avoid them. I fortunately haven't heard any of them but apparently lots of trolls and lolkids are putting major spoilers in thread titles. So if you want to ensure a fun exciting experience I'd go dark from here on out. Waaaaay too many people have the game and are putting up live streams and what not.

I hope they bring the creepy back to some of the dungeons. In morrowind,I found myself jumping from time to time in real life when getting blindsided in those creepy cult temples.

Yeah I wish oblivion had more of a creepy, eerie dead space type feel to it. It would make dungeon diving more intense.

Those sixth houses with those demonic chalk drawings were freaky as shite.

The music always freaked me out, like when the battle music would start when I don't see anyone in front of me and them *wham* I am attacked from behind. That happened a few times in Morrowind and Oblivion.
