You're on my Skype list already. I am having to re-download Arma right now cause my Steam folder glitched. I am sure I lost my character and stuff but will be on as soon as this DLs

Use Dolby Axon instead of Skype FWIW. Blows Vent out of the water.

fwiw, I was never at that factory place. I actually spawned in solnichny and I headed to the place you guys went. Totally different place. I'm on the road south of Berezino now

Don't get discouraged at first. let me give you some tips Enter/Middle Mouse Wheel button = USE key (open doors, pick up items and such) *You can't open every door, if you can open the door, most of the time if will already be open.
G= Gear/Inventory
Double Tap W= Run
C= Stand up
X= Crouch
Z= Prone
M= map, but you wont have a map until you find one so use this link LINK
R= Reload but don't do this like cod reloads
Shift (hold) = Walk slowly
L = flashlight but if you get into a server that is dark, just switch servers
It will take you some time to get use to the game. Finding a gun is not an easy task. You will have to crawl to get past zombies. Zombies have to walk indoors and running in there can glitch them out(they won't chase you anymore.
To bandage yourself, Right click on bandage.

Oh btw does anyone have an AK? I have about 150 rounds of ak ammo and no AK.

Thanks for being helpful, I've been killing time watching videos and reading some of the stuff in the first post, so I'll probably only die a dozen times before I get a feel for it.
I've noticed in the videos the mod (or maybe ARMA) seems to really overemphasize shadows which is a little worrisome since I've only ever seen an overcast sky in game which would tend to balance out the light in real life. But, it is an alpha version so eh.

And for those interested, we use skype. If you dont want to, thats on you. But the rest of us have it, so if you want to team up, thats the way to go.

No. I like Skype and use it for other things besides playing with y'all. I don't want to download a ton of different communication software when this does the job.

So I connect to a server (through Six Launcher), it loads the mission file and gives me a black screen with "Waiting to create your character" on it, then it just goes black with "Loading" on it. And there it sits. Any ideas?

Nevermind, it went through while I was reading through websites on it. Maybe it was just slow for the first time I dunno.

You should really try ventrilo/mumble/team speak, Skype is just more complicated than it needs to be for a group.

Some servers load much better than others, but the latest patch really seems to have slowed things down. Try to remember some of those that load up quicker and you can try them in the future
