Same here. Only good shite at work during the day when it's busy. No pokestops near my house and crap catches. I do have 2 spawn points - one in my backyard and one across the street. Mostly rattata, pidgey, spearow. Randomly got a low level Scyther though.
Upgraded from a 25 Tauros to a 770 today though.

I'm The Quiet One and I'm a Pokemon Go nerd. 
I joined the craze this morning; me and my daughter. I know dick about Pokemon, but we had a blast. Walked around the neighborhood and caught a bunch of low levels..got up to level 6 pretty easily. A nearby park has 5 or 6 Pokestops and a gym, so I'm pretty set there.
Gotta admit, it's fun. We'll go out again this evening because frick Arizona heat.
A few questions...what determines which ones I should bother to evolve/upgrade? I figured I'm better off waiting to do anything besides collecting Pokemons until I get up in levels, but I really don't know. I have 4 Eevees, what do I do with these things? I'm just saving them for now. I have a couple of eggs...is it random what they hatch as?

Hatched Tentacool and Slowpoke today, finally got Pinsir. Had a Snorlax pop up when I was taking a crap break at work and the m'fing game froze. Level 12 right now. Too damned hot to go out hunting for this - I'm ultra lazy. Froze again on Goldeen. MFING GRRRRR
As far as eevee goes, it evolves into one of three: Vaporeon, Flameon, or Jolteon. There's a way to determine which one you want, it's somewhere in this megathread. Trade in your weaker ones for the candies.

Vaporeon is over powered right now. Just make a couple of badass Vapoeons and you are off to a good start. His quick attack is good and his special is really good. He can wreck almost anyone.

Man had a great night last night and caught all kinds of new shite. Then try to get on today....shite show.
I just have no words man. Such a great game, but if they can't add more servers...its fricked.
On another note, when will the Pokemon start having higher CP out in the wild? For example, I caught a CP10 Exxguator and a CP87 Starmie while being a level 10. But now I'm a 12 with Great Balls, will it change at all?

I can barely stay on for more than 15 mins before it crashes. But last night around 10 I played for 2hours and didn't crash once.

I got real pissed on saturday. I went to the botanical gardens here in bham. It has 4 gyms and 29 pokestops. Got absolutely shafted on pokemon. Bunch of pidgeys and that was it. Stocked up on items though, so could have been worse.

They really need to nerf eevees. It is way too easy to catch them and evolve to an OP vaporeon. They either need to make them scarcer to find or make it 100 candies to evolve. I just evolved a 620 eevee into a 1651 vaporeon (I'm a level 21 btw). That is why you see them on every gym.

They just need to nerf vaporeon. Flareon and jolteon are easy to smack around. Vape isn't that bad either, just time consuming.

My thoughts exactly. I can pretty much wreck most level 4/5 gyms with just the vaporeons I have. That character breaks the game IMO.

I hate that everyone gets to just leave their house and go walk around the neighborhood and surrounding areas just hunting Pokémon on the daily. I have to drive off base just to do that, so I am usually reserved to just going to the local Pokestop hoarding area hoping that people have Lures up and what not. Sucks living on base...

Is anybody else having issues getting nearby Pokémon to show up? I have had zero show up on my nearby bar for the past 30 minutes or so.

tracking and finding Pokemon is pure luck at this time.
You can't track them and you don't really know what is out there because the nearby menu is down.
