they used to do it for all big releases, then they kind of stopped
people bitched and moaned enough and they just did it for BF3, so hopefully the same happens for MW3

Plus if you trade them in fast enough, you can get most of that back. Almost free games FTW!

Yeah Gamestop gave me a date to trade-in Gears and if I did it by then, I would get around $40 credit towards trade on something. Can't remember the date though.

i actually paid 37 (after credit) for MOH and traded it for 39
got black ops for 40, kept it for probably 6 months and traded it for 35

yes, just go search for the game on amazon, and then look to the left somewhere and theres an option to trade in, you print a shipping label, and all you pay for is whatever packaging you get.....i usually save a few boxes or padded envelopes for that kind of stuff

ive never had one be late if i specified release date delivery, which is free with my prime membership
thinks its like 1 dollar otherwise

I just found the hardened edition at wall mart and toys-r-us(toys-r-us is quicker and cheaper), but the only problem is you can't pick it up that day at the store and you have to wait a few days for it to come in. So I'm thinking about getting the standard edition the day of the release and then trading it in once i get the hardened edition. sure I'll lose some on the trade, but I'm an OT Baller so no worries.
I guess I'm wondering if this makes sense since I could just buy the regular game and then buy the elite BS. But for extra camos and stuff I think I'll just go ahead and do it. My rank and everything will just transfer over when I put in the hardened disk right?

exactly. i've been preaching this with you for a while. people don't understand the power of Amazon release.
why fight midnight crowds, lunch or after work traffic to go pick it up when it shows up on my doorstep at 5PM release day for $1.
