Unless you dumpster the lane at lvl 2 and get hella fed you will regret the lucian pick late game.
If you go even in lane as lucian, you've lost.

I agree with the death prevention by riot getting to a limit. That being said, the ult fo the new champ protects and heals enemy champs too. So I don't think it's op or anything. It's like bards ult without the freeze. It can help, or hurt your team depending on the situation.

League has become dota. Teamfights will eventually take 10 minutes to end because of all the healing and invulnerability that will be available.
