So does anyone actually believe they nerfed yi? AP yi isn't as strong, but AD yi has been more dominant now than ever. Not really a true nerf I Would think

Depends.
Our 5s team is all in silver individually but we play together at a mid-to-high-gold level...we went 5-0 in placement matches (with the last placement match pitting us against high golds) and got put in silver I. Once the team is back together we should be able to get into gold NP. The thing about climbing out of bronze is how to deal with retards; in Silver instead of just retards, they're functional retards. Their mechanics are better but they still seem to not grasp the game well enough, focusing on kills over objectives, not working together as a unit, and things of that nature. And like I've said before, the whole "if you're good enough you'll carry the team" logic is broken. If you're a plat player in silver, yeah you'll carry. If you're a goldV player in silverIII, you're not going to be good enough to carry, generally speaking. The skill gap isn't THAT huge. It's a team game, and it's designed to win or lose by teams, not individual players. You have to be heads and shoulders above the competition to carry hard, and if you are, you won't get placed in silver or bronze.

If your gold V you should be able to carry silver 3.. Maybe not as easily silver 1 but still you are higher rank than them for a reason. Not expecting anybody to win every game but as long as you win more than 50% you should go up in rank. You dominating and getting fed off your lane and losing just means your playing selfishly. Its so easy to just double kill bot as fed mid and take dragons over and over.
