Updated OP to include standings. If there is enough interest, I can also add the EU LCS. The Europeans are god-awful right now so I don't watch them as much, but I know they have a bit of a following.

Is Cloud 9 as good as some of the Korean teams, or are they going to get raped in worlds like the rest of the non-Korean teams?

too early to tell.

until any NA team can manage to not embarrass themselves against ANY foreign team, always bet against them.

I personally think the NA scene is on par with China right now. I've been watching both and the only difference is the playstyle. The mechanics are the same and team fight synergy is about even. The Koreans tho....jesus...

I get to 6/1/1 as Hecarim. Here's the rest of my team:

2/9/1 top lane
3/8/2 adc
2/8/1 mid
1/5/6 support

WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO, RIOT?!?!? I'm so fricking done with this ranking system.

my last game, 14/5/? as Vayne. Carried my team pretty hard

I need to get better with her early game, champs with longer range (a.k.a just about every damn ADC) zone me once they get a little damage on their poke. If I can get a kill or two in lane I can do well for the rest of the game and can carry.

Do you all play every night? A normal group would be reason to play this again.

But I would have a lot to brush up on, it's been like 6 months since I played.

Is the jungle still a necessity, thereby decreasing strategy options?

This will always be the case as long as there are only 3 lanes and 5 champs simply for gold efficiency. You see tri lanes in dota but it really isn't something that could work in league

I assume that means Maokai (my favorite champ) is shoehorned? On to J4. I might play this week. Practice most likely.

Maoki is a pretty decent jungler, IMO.

But J4 is pretty good right now.

I can't jungle worth squat though. I used to toplane Mao or bot support. or mid in certain circumstances (because Mao used to eat Kass for lunch).

He has easily the most fun kit out of all the champs (still, it seems).

I love it when I get a jungle Mao on my team. Not sure why he's fallen off since tanky support junglers are still the meta. I haven't seen OddOne play Mao competitively since Season 2, and he used to main him. Not sure if he got nerfed or what, but he's nowhere to be found right now.

His ganks are epic too, I just never get the timing of the jungle right, it seems like some sort of artform to me. An artform I will never master.

Top Lane is also the most contested on a team no? No one likes support, Mid is a ton of responsibility and jungle is...niche.

It's a lot easier to get down now. They've made it to where you only have two options for starting camps, Red or Blue buff at 1:55. Wraiths, Golems, and Wolves don't spawn until 2:05 now. I would say making your presence felt in lane is the most important thing for a jungler. You can afford to fall behind on farm if every time you gank, you get something out of it. Be mindful of objectives. If your team is strong enough to make a run at the first dragon, gank bot until they get a positional advantage or kill the lane alltogether then get the 3 of you to secure the first dragon. You have no idea how little things like that can completely snowball a game.

Unless of course you get fed as a jungler and everyone on your team feeds anyway. -_-

I'm not sure. It seems like Mid is the most contested. It seems like the most "fun" champs to play are mid laners right now. I main mid because I like the responsibility and being able to control all lanes if necessary. You can basically be a jungler with more gold if your team needs it. I'd say it's definitely between mid and top for most contested, though.

Thanks for the tip if it is easier, maybe I'll give it a shot in practice.
