Interesting.

After finishing the game you get some new radiant quest.

Build defenses and defend settlement (not like normal defense) - Minutemen

Defend Checkpoint - Railroad.

Wish I had known about Mama's chair 300 hours ago. I put her way away from the main part of Sanctuary and I haven't heard her since then.

Level 15 and still haven't gone to diamond city. Everyone keeps giving me quests.

Level 30 and still haven't met with Paladin Danse or joined any faction other than The Minutemen. Screwed up the Diamond City Blues Quest and had to go back to a previous save to fix it. I'll just say someone got away that shouldn't have which messed things up for me at other places. I even looked it up online and couldn't find this happening to anyone else. That quest is pretty tricky. Lots of different outcomes depending on what you choose to do.

I have beaten the game and I am just going back to beat other missions. Anyone know if there is a DLC coming out soon. Are there any missions in the most southern part of the map where the Railroad is? I have started exploring around and I haven't gotten any missions.

Minutemen quests are radiant. They never stop. If you keep going back to Preston they will never stop.

Get 3, do the quest, return to the settlements, Don't return to Preston. You won't get anymore until enough time passes for them to complete without speaking to Preston.

Well, only do that if he has given you the quest to get The Castle. Once you have the castle, you can slow down the minutemen quests like I stated above.

You do need to return to the settlement or it will fail even if you completed it.

Eventually, even if you don't return to Preston, the quest will complete on its own.

Is it one of those things where your settlement is under attack?

Those happen the whole game. And no matter how heavily armed you settlement is, they will fail if you don't show up in time.

What if I just let them die because I don't care about them?

So then should I bother with the castle mission?

If you don't care about settlements then I guess not. Personally, I probably spent more time building settlements up than playing through the storyline And Castle is an awesome settlement.

The base building just isn't interesting to me. Maybe if there was real benefit that I saw in it or if they weren't going to annoy me later with random attacks.

My main beef is the failure if you don't appear.

This is absolutely absurd.

All of my villages have 200+ defense. At least 15 people in each settlement have maxed weapons.

Heck, the system is such garbage that Spectacle Island would fail to defend if I don't show up even though is has 700+ defense with ALL settlers equipped with max weapons and weave armor.

Simply no way 30 settlers with 80 turrets would lose to 10 raiders, but the way the system is set up, they would fail if I don't show up.

This sucks and should be patched.

I don't like the idea that I have to drop what I'm doing to defend it

Most of the time, I missed the message. I had to get a MOD which gives me a pop up box each time and it stays up until I click it.

I had lots of fun with those attacks.

Turrets blazing everywhere. Super Mutant missiles blowing up all over the place.

I like them BUT as stated. If I don't get there in time, don't fail my arse simply for not showing up.

Level 23. When can you start getting the Gun Nut perk or Science Perk? Also, after reading some posts...I mean Ill help a settlement and do what is asked but after that I go on to do other missions like with the BoS or continue on with the main story line. Should you really go back on each settlement and build everything? Defense, Food, resources etc.. If it fails, do these people turn on you?

As soon as the required base ability level is met.

I bet you are making the same mistake I did. You don't have to fill the top row before moving to the second row.

You just have to have at least 2 base ability points to move to the second row, then 3 to move to the third row then 4 to move to the 4th row and so on.

If the happiness level drops too low, you can lose the settlement.

If you enjoy building, yes. Admittedly, there isn't much incentive, but they do make money for you once you open up a bar and a few stores.

Another thing I saw...going towards Somerville Place settlement coming from the North, heading South. I stumbled upon a small tomb like house with a bunch of brain fungus and other food items in there...I turn around to exit and out comes this smaller version of a Deathclaw(looked like a Gremlin), scared the shite out of me and killed me quickly. Anyone seen this creature yet? What is it?
