If you want more build space.
Collect a pile of guns.
Take the guns to the settlement that needs more space.
go into the inventory and drop them on the ground.
Open up the build menu.
Then scrap each gun.
When you scrap weapons, it deducts the weight from the settlement limit. Rinse and repeat until you have plenty of room to build again.
I have no idea if this can corrupt the save or not. People have been doing it since the game came out and I haven't heard that is causes any problems.

I just hit 30. I have a ton of misc quests I plan to run through tonight along with some factions quests.
I've spent the last week just exploring. The density and verticality of the world is awesome.

I'm up to lvl 45. Still haven't been to the glowing sea.
Have done a lot of exploring. There Is A Saw inspired trap filled parking garage that is crazy.
Haven't had any settlement attacks since I installed heavy laser turrets.
For anyone needing a lot of fiber optics...you can reset the laser wire tunnel in Jamaica plains.

Every time I go through the "city" I find more and more places to go into. I like this much better than walking through barren wasteland. Having super mutants rain mininukes down on me from building scaffolding is awesome and terrifying at the same time.

I have that piece as well, I think it's "devestator's chestpiece" or something. I just took it off yesterday bc it was making the game too easy for me, right before you die no matter what it slows time for a while, so you can heal immediately. I didn't die once when wearing it.
I didn't like the way it looked either, I had it over some weaved fatigues, so I ballistic weaved a tuxedo until I just got the courser armor looking like Neo from the Matrix now.

You want a weird quest line, do the Jack Cabot shite. I wanted the Lorenzo's Articfact gamma gun so I just finished this last night, that's a fricked up quest.

I'm level 36 I think? Not sure how many hours in.
Like others have said, pick up all the supplies you can carry. One of the first perks I upgraded to full capacity was the one that ups your carry weight. I did that and with the power armor and buffout, I can carry about 450-480 pounds of stuff.

-Plasma infused combat shotgun
-Modded up plasma rifle
-Spray n pray
-Just got overseers guardian. Bout to put the .308 receiver mod on it (gun nut 4)
And have a fresh gauss rifle to mod up waiting.
So many fun weapons
