I started a rogue earlier. Can I do like origins and carry a bow and daggers to switch between or can I only equip one at a time?

I've been playing rogue and this is my only complaint, wish I could switch between bow and knives

A rogue can use either. Only drawback is you will have to split your specs between the two.

Couldn't play much last night. Had to get Christmas started since I still hadn't decorated.
More of the same tonight.

I'm a little surprised because in origins you could switch mid battle.

I constantly respec myself and my party I'm a Rift Mage but most of the time I control Iron Bull, Sera or Cole. I normally run with a combo of Bull, Blackwall, Sera and Cole, with Blackwall being a constant. Recently I decided to respec from damage Mage to upgrade the entire barrier tree for my Mage. I changed Sera to bow and run with her, cole and bull who is a full reaver dps machine. He doesn't have any guard abilities at all. I do so much dps that I kill them first. I upgraded healing mist and health regen pots all the way so I really don't even need a tank. I'm ripping through mobs fast. I am on normal though, I wonder how much it'll be different on hard. I've yet to run with two mages bc I hate Dorian, solas and vivs personality

What is the best way to increase potion count for the group. 8 is just not cutting it on hard.

There is an inquisition perk that boost it to 12.

What is your setup?
I really wish you had the ability to take screenshots on every system. I don't know why they don't include this feature in every game. Dragon's Dogma had it and I really liked sharing stuff I found.

Use perks and equip potion increasing belts.

I mean what do you want to know?
I am level 11 rogue and usually run with Iron Bull, Soras, and Blackwall.
I rely on Soras a lot for the barrier spell. Any other magic I can focus on to reduce the need of potions?
Thanks!

Although I enjoy games like this, I am a noob at games where maximizing party strategy is crucial.

You can upgrade your healing potions to make them more effective.
Think you need rare herbs though like prophets laurel.
Barrier, potions are pretty much it. Run two mages if 1 barrier isn't enough
Or get creative with damage avoidance. Kiting, traps, aoe taunts from a fully guarded warrior, etc

Is there any story DLC planned for release? Haven't seen anything announced yet.

I'm sure there is DLC planned. The way the world is set up? They can put out completely new areas without problem.

Cool. Ill try this.
Maybe I need to get better at the "attack planner" mode. I never really use it.

As a rogue..don't spec completely into dps. You need defensive spells like parry, knockout powder, stealth, evade.. etc
Tactical cam mode blows.. i never use it.
Just don't charge in to the middle at first. Wait until blackwall has their attention. Then ambush. Use traps and poison. Clear archers first..they fricking hurt

I ran a rogue on hard. I was dagger spec.
IMO mage is a barrier/dispell tool in that build so the actual mage used did not matter (though with what I have learned about Knight Enchanters perhaps Viv is the best choice).
I ran Iron Bull until I needed a true tank and switched out to Cass.
My 4th spot for hard was Varric which is blasphemy on this board. But it's so easy to upgrade Bianca to ridiculousness early on and he can 1 shot dragonlings and keep bad guys chasing him with his escape moves.
I never found a dagger that was better than what I could build if you have the dual bladed dagger.
I always started engages with my rogue. Auto-crit out of stealth + Hidden Blades = 6 or 7 crits and 1 less enemy to fight. Drop into Stealth while your party runs in to help and either let your party focus on the big guy while you pick off the smaller ones around the room or help them burn down the main guy. That's what got me through Hard.
ETA: so basically the exact opposite of what Jefforize said roflmao.

Apparently I need to re-spec.
