You can respec .
Take all that str out and put it into energy.
Respec skills to max the tree (fire lightning cold) that you have gear for. Looks like cold .
You just need enough str to hit minimum armor requirements
Get gear with +resistances. These are not a luxury, they are a must

Holy shite boys, in the last hour I was finally able to trade for tal armor and the next run a ber rune drops. Holee fook

Traded it for tal ammy, socketed shako and 49 war travs. One guy offered ful tal set plus hoz. I almost took it but I'd still need to trade for shako and this one was already socketed

Totally forgot to equip my merc with magic find type items.
Does it matter if you switch and put on your magic find items right before the enemy dies? Or you need to be using the equipment the entire fight?

Started playing last night. This was a flashback I never expected of emotion. It felt like I went back in time to play the best game I'd played in years. I'm playing as a necromancer. I'm just beating frickers with a stick it looks like. Is the only way to figure out what an item is is by using scroll of identify? And when I die I lose all of my shite. How do I stop that?

if an item is unidentified, you need a scroll of identity to identify it. buy a tome book from one of the merchants. it's the brown one. it will hold 20 scrolls. the blue book is the town scroll book. it will also hold 20.

How does the town portal scroll work? Is it a one time use thing? Or does the portal stay infinitely?

Deckard can identify items once you rescue him in Act I. So unless you need to identify something on the fly, just wait until you are back in town and he will do it for free.
