Yes, If you get a Legendary Engram, they have a very small chance of turning into exotic.

Group up and do the Queen's story mission (need to do one of the queen's bounty quests first).
You'll get a purple chest piece for doing it. Will need 3 people for it probably.

So it looks like for any queens bounty time complete you receive a queens mission (repeat of story missions/strikes and level 24 very hard) to play. Every mission you complete you'll receive a legendary armor piece (so far 2 titan chests for me) for your class. Also, legendary engram drops appear to be more frequent on the Queen missions.
