On that note, you’ll see yet more welcome changes to the in-game economy in the December update. Rumor has it that Petra will have use for your Etheric Light, and Eris has been asking if anyone out there is hoarding a surplus of Worm Spore. Turns out she loves the stuff.

Paradox is one of the harder ones for heroic, especially if you don't know the vault like other do.

yeah Gardoki had already told me to do this - I've been trying to grind legendary marks as much as possible, but with nobody on to help me it's been kinda hard
Also, which faction do I need to join for armor if I use scout rifles and I'm a Titan? I'm currently rank 2 for Dead Orbit because of the Scout Rifle, but their equipment seems to be very melee / hand cannon heavy, which I don't use either. Or the Strength on the armor either

You can always switch factions once you get the scout and whatever armor you want.

Typically what I look for in gear is in this order. (Not including exotics)
1. Arms reload speed type.
2. Arms melee speed. (More PVP related)
3. Intellect
4. Discipline
5. Ammo type
Vanguard and Crucible vendors can have any stats.
Future War Cult has Intellect and Discipline.
New Monarchy has Intellect and Strength.
Dead Orbit has Discipline and Strength.
The other perks have all been random for each vendor after every expansion they have done. (They have made new guns and armor each expansion)
I don't think there is a vendor who sells fast reload scout rifle for Titans.
You can also get all of the vendor gear as a random drop but with random perks and stats.
You did good with getting Hung Jury, probably the best vendor sold PVE gun there is.
So really it is up to you. Dead Orbit gear looks the best but has the worst stats in my opinion.
At first you will probably level up Vanguard the fastest as you don't have to be a faction. So just buy that gear. You can get picky later when you have the option

This hasn't been 100% accurate with taken king. I've had to jump vendors to get certain things.

You are correct. I did not know this, I have not had to buy vendor gear at all.
Guess they decided to fix that, It was always stupid that Dead Orbit got the bad stats.
