I got the auto rifle pest control matrix from the vanguard quartermaster last week. AR's definitely aren't a popular choice for a primary but sometimes I just crave the satisfaction of a real full auto weapon. And this one at least has decent impact

I'm the same way. I rolled almost exclusively with auto rifles when the game first came out. After they nerfed them there were about three that were even close to useful.

Yep. Shadow price and abyss defiant are the only other 2 I know of that are viable

The One / One Synthate (spelling?) once re rolled is good. I ascended mine to 365 damage. Vanguard Weapon.
Full auto, Explosive rounds, Army of One (unassisted kills reduce grenade / melee cooldown)

Silimar's Wratch AR dropped for me and is awesome. I actually moved my shadown price to my hunter because my warlock uses Silimar now.

I avoid ARs all together. A good hand cannon, scout or pulse rifle outclasses them in every way. And I've tried to use my Suros Regime (ascended it to 365 damage to test)& Vanquisher VIII and every other non AR weapon makes them feel weak.
AR now stands for Assist Rifle until they give them a buff. When it takes half a mag to kill a non major vandal and a quarter of one to kill a dreg, you have a problem.
My "The Devil You Know" hand cannon at 365 damage with near-instant reloads after precision kills (one shot on minor and normal enemies) makes any AR useless.

Really Abyss Defiant isn't even good against any kind of major. I like rolling with Suros but there's few opportunities to do so because it uses up an exotic spot.

Hoping for a Void Scholar to drop from the lighthouse and I will be set. I don't really care for Word of Crota.
So far I have got an Arc Jewel and a Void Summoner.
Really if they would buff auto rifles back again the summoner would be awesome, but that isn't coming.

I hadn't noticed any issues with my autos but I only do PvE and havn't used anything else to compare. Bad Juju still sucks though

Still on the hunt for both .... RNG hates me.
At least I have my gjallahorn and Found Verdict to keep me company.
Also - 4 Skolas kills and no elemental primaries. got 2 ciphers (both this week)
Not only did I not get them, they did not drop for anyone else on my teams either.

Agreed. I used it here and there, but the second I got Gjallahorn, I stopped using it.
I still break it out on PoE when I need to go build up my bubble for the next attempt at a boss. Mixed with Helm of Saint 14, you can build supers very quickly.

The feel doesn't do it for me. I love midi multi though.
