I just had my first bad experience with randoms. No fighting or anything like that, but just a terrible group. Tried joining in for Atheon on hard (really dying to get the vex) and it was a complete disaster. I'm pretty sure we tried for over an hour before I told them I was out. They were trying to run it with three 29s and wanted me to run the relic because I was 31, despite me continuously telling them I did not have much experience running it. Dear god, what a waste of time.
So, I know a few of our group can't run tonight, so would those who can play want to make a hard run?

I'm down for any type of raid, but I just can't get in on any of these that start at 9 or later.

And how the hell do you get this Vanguard commendation?
Read you have to level up in the Vanguard....ugh.
Just broke down my fully upgraded lvl 30 gauntlets and got 3 hadronic essence...what the frick.

This game cracks me up.
So I'm running around Earth trying to fill the urn up with 100 acolytes killed by void. I get caught up in this huge battle with Hive and Fallen and all of a sudden, horaax the hated (or something like that) comes out and I kill him. Shortly after I finish off my 100 and go back to the tower.
Next step...fill the urn with horaax ashes. So lolz

I have 76 Vanguard marks. I can either get boots right now, or wait until I level up to get the chest piece I need more. But I'm still halfway from 5-6...I can't decide.

I'd probably go with chest, but it's probably personal preference. In my experience, I've seen a lot more legendary boots than legendary chests drop. Also, I don't know if you've leveled up any factions, but you could get the boots from one of them with your crucible marks and save your vanguard marks to use with your commendation.

Sweet. If all hold the way it is now, I'd be able to go even earlier around 8 or so. We're putting a ship in to a dock now, then hopefully just tying up for a while.

Depends on when we start. Supposed to be going out tonight. Plus, the only things I care about is the Exotic chest and the Vex Mythoclast. Both of which are towards the end of the raid.
