No. Pre-DLC, the light needed after a certain point to reach a new level changed from 12 light to 11. The DLC changed it back to 12 light points per increase. So the light 33 across the board will only get you to 31. Your need all 36 across the board to get to 32.

Yes and yes.

I'll add another one in...frick Eris. The second part of the quest that requires you to get the urn from Xur is "Melee kill 5 cursed thralls. Death resets progress."

ETA: The quickest way I found is by playing The Sword of Crota. There are two when you get down in to the sword room that you can get after you kill the rest of the enemies. You have to do the mission three times, but it's so short that it goes by pretty quick. Just kill that first guy, then blow through on your sparrow to the sword room.

On a side note, all in this week with my warlock, I got an updated exotic helmet, raid boots from the VoG, and just purchased a new legendary chest piece. All of that means I'm officially just shards away from 30 with him, too.

I'd like to make a hard VoG run sometime this weekend if anyone is interest. I know the priority is Crota, but if y'all want to mix it up, I'm in. One of us needs to get the Mythoclast. I've read that it destroys in Crota's End.
