No easy way.
Decrypting blue engrams gives you a chance to get one.
When you turn in your daily event you have a chance to get one.
You have a chance to get one in PVP matches as a reward.
You have a chance to get some as a reward in the nightfall.
And you always get them for the weekly strike.
Fastest way for me at this point would be the blue engram decryption. So, I will be doing a lot of Tiger strikes since they give you blue engrams as a reward.

If you're a warlock, I read the other day that Xur doesn't come around too often with Exotic Chest pieces so if you're a warlock and want an exotic chest piece, get it. It appeared to be geared for those who mainly use the void subclass.

I will be doing the weekly lv 28. Daily 28 twice, and enough tiger strikes to get 2 coins when I get off.

I believe it is just random on what he carries but yea this is the first time he had a chest piece. Like I said last night.
2nd time he has had the titan chest piece and SUROS though. I love that titan chest piece.

Yeah he was selling the same chest piece last week I believe.
I really can't complain about him selling the same item two weeks in a row because he's sold the same items for both Hunter and Warlock for a couple weekends in a row at different times while he had different items for the Titan each time. What goes around comes around.

Is there any higher risk of getting another class item with this Xur engram, because I feel like I rarely ever decode an engram to an item of another class?

I am pretty sure it has even odds.
I have bought 3 engrams from him so far and got 1 piece for hunter, titan and warlock.

Well then why do 99% of all my engrams that drop during crucible/strikes decode to warlock (my class)?
