You're a sonofabitch. After your last comment I'm obviously getting it for 360

Wife and kiddo are going to her BFF for a week in 2 weeks or so ill be bourbon and dark souls balls deep. Gonna have to find the soapstone soon so we can summon each other

I think we are still friends on XBL. Hit me up if you get stuck and ill drop a sign where you are to help (if I remember how to beat the boss)

Oh yeah, that's another thing. You have to get the soapstone before you can even summon someone for help '

Spoilers kind of

The easies thing about the catacombs is the boss....and then welcome to the tomb of the giants

I just thought about after I posted that. In the scheme of things, catacombs and tomb of giants is child's play compared to the likes of blight town and sens fortress

F u blight town

I think we can all give one big FU to Blighttown.

Definitely one of the cooler bosses though.

Tomb isn't too bad if you know where to go. Once you get passed the black knight you can run passed most of the enemies or spam them with pyro.

The Duke's Archives is my bane.

I actually didn't mind The Duke's Archives. I did have a hell of a time in the Crystal Caverns against the damn gold crystal guys.

I dropped my summon sign there for a few hours one day and racked up like 200k souls. I got a message from one person i helped to the affect of "you're a savior...I've been stuck here for a week"

Those guys were a bitch and a half. On top of that, they fricking cram you into a small space.

I had to spam my magic to kill the one across the invisible bridge.

I've got Tomb of giants, and Blighttown down to a science. If you're not going down to Blighttown via the waterwheel from the valley of drakes, you're doing it wrong. And once you make it through to the 2nd bonfire in ToG, you're good! You can totally not fight any of the dog skeleton frickers.

All the Harry potter changing bridges and walkways is what gets me in Dukes Archives.

Honestly though at this point the only thing I truly hate about the game is Bed of Chaos. You have to time that stupid jump perfectly. It always takes me 20 tries or so.

Bed of Chaos... a "boss" so bad that even the devs apologized for it. Yeah, you know it's bad when easiest thing to do is to complete one part, quit the game and then start it back up to keep from having to circle completely around that shitstain of a boss. Lost Izalith is a mess as well.

Protip: learn to parry

Useful now but critical later in the game

Ugh

Mj..yeah..trying to parry, but my controller skills and timing are weak and rusty..keep mistiming the parry and get a nice stab to the gut.

All in due time..ill get it figured out.

so..from where that giant bird drops me off..should I go up or down? Up seemed easier. Up obviously led me to the taurus demon.. down had some skeletons that wrecked me.

Don't bother with down until you get a better weapon, preferably a Divine one and you're at least around level 50 or so.

What gift did you choose?
