Yeah, I can do it at night during the week.

The over-reliance on adds and RNG bullshite with the bosses still disappoints me. People bitched about endlessly in DS2 and it seems to be okay here cause you know why. I wouldn't say any of them would be in my top 10 - maybe the dlc could change that.

Yeah, I don't think I have the patience for SoC.

I literally can't beat him, I always get to his second form and then get wrecked

His second form is more predictable. Bait his jump and get a couple of hits in. His most dangerous attack is the combo, but it's telegraphed and gives you time to heal or buff your weapon.

Any of you guys read Berserk? I started a Guts build for fun. And it is quite fun. I love the Greatsword.

My god I just beat him and my heart was pumping so fast and I'm shaking as I type this. I was on him for at least 2 hours. Best feeling beating a boss in all souls games I've ever played

How the hell are you supposed to get proofs without farming for hours upon hours?!?! The wiki makes 0 sense

You farm. You can max your chances by waiting till NG++ so you can use the gold serpent ring +2. Use that, mimic head, and Crystal sage rapier in off hand. Re-spec to 99 luck, and pop a rusted coin each run. Shouldn't take more than 5 hours with that setup. I also recommend listening to podcasts while farming. Makes the time go by quicker.

Yes. I've seen a few Guts builds on reddit. The greatsword and undead legion armor fit perfectly

What is the most effective route with the Uchigatana. I have it at +5 but have a bunch of unused gems.

Really depends on your character's stat investment. Are you going for a pure Dex build, or maybe a pyro build? One popular one I've seen at lower levels is to infuse it with a fire gem, and wear the fire clutch ring for extra fire dmg. This helps you deal very good early damage while you level your survivability stats (Vig, End).

The uchi is great, but it gets outclassed by Black Blade (especially when infused with Chaos or Dark), the Washing Pole, and Chaos Blade (my personal favorite).

Uchigatana.

I am purely Dex, so SHARP +8 is where I'm at right now. I've been trying to replace it, but haven't been able to get the black blade or Darkdrift up to its level yet. It's been great for me so far. I'm at the fog door for both Aldridge and Yhorn right now, and it's what I've used 90% of the time.

ETA: Just got the washing pole, but only have it at +3. It and the uchi have the same move set.
