yeah, I remember getting 3 in anor lundo just by going through it twice... the grass has been the most annoying to me so far. I got 22 in a few hours

Ok... so after I'm done with all of the covenants, is there any other items I can miss in my first play through that I will regret? I pretty much failed every single questline this time around, so I guess I'll be pulling up a massive guide for my NG+ - also I guess I'm going to just use this same character in NG+, I'll respec and use some other weapon to change things up, but no need to start from scratch again.

Also, what weapon would everyone recommend for my NG+? I was thinking the Estoc or Dark Sword to actually be "in the meta" for at least one play through?

I would never consider parrying a boss. I can barely parry any normal enemy. I just can not get the timing down.

Basically in a game like this, to be "in meta" is to be self aware of the item you are using... to use "that" item that makes you stand out, because that's what everyone is doing.

In dark souls it's using the Dark sword or the Estoc, or something along those lines, because even though Dark Souls is about learning and growing as you play: you actually went online and watched a video of the "best weapon for PvP" and started using it.

These items are in meta because they are strong right now, therefore there are a lot of people using the items right now, therefore they are self aware that they are using it, because it's strong right now... it's... meta

Is the Dark sword the same thing as dark blade? If so then I am "un meta" bc I have been using that sword from the very start and found its power on my own. I haven't read anything online for my first play through.

dark blade is a miracle. are you thinking of the black blade? it's a katana you get from a mimic

the dark sword is a drop from blades of the darkmoon

The arrow attack really isn't as bad as people think as long as you run. Summoning makes it easier

Ooh I got it now. Didnt know that was a miracle. Thought maybe dark blade was just another name for the dark sword.
