Oooooo I thought nameless King was considered the hardest boss in the game because he was actually hard, not because the camera angles in the fight are the worst of any FROM fight ever

Well just got to Irythyll... or however its spelt, Got to the second bonfire and I assume the only way to continue is to go threw the damn Water and fight the stupid large Shitgator from hell. Ive had that bitch down to one or two hits everytime. First time i have been stumped on this one.

I'm happy to be going to sleep having learned the first half of the fight well, and getting the nameless King down to 50%... This shite is stupid, why did FROM think these fights would be a good way to go out on?!?!

People bitched about how cheap Capra Demon is in DS1 and it makes me giggle now. The non gimmick bosses just run counter to what I've learned from Souls bosses - if you're patient and vigilant you can basically get the bosses to do what you want. They're so scripted and intent on you losing that you just have to sometimes hope for a favorable pattern. You can't talk about fair when you're running from Aldrich's barrage of magic arrows and then blindsided by another spell that can take half of your HP. The only boss where there is some middle ground is Dragonslayer and even he has unnecessary projectiles.
Miyazaki talked about a 'heat up' factor in the boss fights long before release, I never thought that would have meant adds, projectiles, and magic spam.

If I didn't have a heavy backlog of podcasts to listen to, I would have given up.
I'll never do it again. This will be my final faith character in this game. If anything happens to this character file, then I guess that's it. No more Darkmoon Blade for me.

I have 14 proofs and haven't even gotten to Anor Lando to turn them in.
I did fight club (and occasionally got ganked) for 3 hours outside Pontiff's bonfire last night, and have come to the realization that I am still not "gud". I'm through 1.5 DS games, and not only am I not "gud", but I'm 0/15ish in fight club not "gud".
Now they were fun as shite, other than 15 second 4V1 gankings, but they were eye opening. I need to reevaluate my life.
Finished all of Smoldering lake, Irithyll (city), and most of the dungeon this weekend. I REALLY wanted the profaned coal to put bleed on my grave warden twin swords. Should I go to Anor Lando or Profaned Capital next? Does it matter?

Yhorm the Giant and the Dancer are down.
I had a feeling something would be up for the Giant fight based on everyones comments. Quickly confirmed that when my attacks were not doing damage. After a few deaths I figured out what I had to do. Then it took a few more deaths before I could even figure out how to use the damn sword. I never really use the special attacks of a weapon so it took a few deaths while trying to use it properly. But yes, a very stupid fight particularly the method you have to use *Edited to not spoil for any others*.
On a side note though, I decided to get summoned as a SunBro bc I figured it would be an easy win against the Giant. The host summoned 3 phantoms so the fight was just 4 of us spamming that sword attack. It was pretty damn funny and ridiculously easy.
Now getting sent directly to the dancer was a bit of a surprise. Took about 3 or 4 tries but I picked up the pattern and it wasn't so tough.

The nameless King makes no sense to me. I can destroy the first part with all my flask left, get him down to 25%.... Yet still get two shotted from an infinite combo and not stagger him once, when I saw jombie stagger him twice!!! WTF?!?!

Nameless King has been slain... I almost lost my sanity fighting him..............
ETA:I will send a link to the fight soon... The ending is sad kinda, I knew I was close and my flask were up.... So out came the bow to finish him off, and he's such a bastard, I don't even care.
