Ran through Hemwick last night and got 34k souls. Bought Ludwig's sword and upgraded Saw blade and Axe to +4.
I've got to ask. Do the bosses get less "beastly?" Im kinda tired of fighting four legged canine creatures. Fought the undead giant in chalice and that felt like a true souls fight. I'm only 4-5 bosses in so I may just be impatient

In with the advice after I beat him? 
I did finally learn that keeping your distance from him doesn't do much good. Just engage and strafe around was the key. I originally didn't lock on and would try to roll under him and get him in the back. It was fine with it worked but sometimes he would turn too quickly and get me. By locking on and strafing I was able to stay behind him pretty well. The genius of it is that locking on and engaging him is the last thing you would think to do with a beast that size.
I can enter that building now? Also does fortify mean enhance basically?

Do you guys usually upgrade your weapon or get a new one? I saw the kirkhammer is now available. I don't know if it's any good.

Blood Starved beast is giving me fits. He's so shifty, fought him about 8 times last night till I ran out of blood vials and antidote. Had to farm for more I did get a spear though and that thing is dope. Good range and as strong as my aXe. Think it will be key for beating the beast.
ETA: I got it in a secret area after taking out machine gun guy, the building across from his tower at the bottom. Got some charred (fire resist) hunter gear too.

Idk how I beat him on my 2nd try
Tip: throw a blood cocktail and charge attack while he goes nuts. Didn't thibk of that till after I beat him and turns out that's a viable strategy

Waiting to get the scythe from the trailers. +15 scythe in dark souls was my bread and butter. Perfect for PVE and PVP

Climb down from gunner ladder back to ground level. Turn right (facing away from ladder) and go up the staircase to a little landing. Kill the hunter there and some birds. Go to the top left corner and you'll see a ledge you can jump to. Do it and drop down. Huge mob inside. Kill Em all and there's a chest. Also a free rifle spear

Left side if you are facing that building across from machine gun near all the crows.. Drop off the ledge. Careful tho make sure you have enough blood vials there are about 15 enemies and no going back till you clear them out
