so how does the multiplayer work? Never really played battlefield so sorry if this sounds dumb. Is their a team death match? How many are on each side? and are you assigned to a specific duty when playing on that squad? sorry im on the fence on buying this. Any help would be appreciated .

There is a TDM, but it is probably my least played game mode. 16 on a side or 32 on a side generally. You can pick whatever class you want to play as, it is just helpful if you are playing as a squad, to have some different classes.
What type of FPS games do you normally play? May be easier to describe things going off of that.

I've been enjoying Domination a lot. The maps fit really well.

People who don't play on PS4 really don't understand how lame this is. Granted, Battlefield is really a multiplayer game, but still, the inability to play and update at the same time is a huge negative, especially when a lot of these games have massive patches.

Finally unlocked the telescopic BAR for the support class and man is it brutal. It's got a huge amount of recoil, only 20 rounds in a magazine but good God does it mow people down. Most visceral gun I've shot so far in game.
I killed a guy that had the level 10 scout sniper rifle and took it for a whirl. It doesn't have any optics but it'll one shot any player no matter where you hit them. Best medium range gun I've found so far.

Uh oh! Is it the M40 ACOG reincarnated? I loved shooting people in the feet in COD4

Had one of my more intense games last nigh, playing on Amiens. I really like that map, just for its feel. Point B and C are only like 75 yards away from each other, both on a bridge. They have good building cover and advantageous spots to hold them. The match just kind of worked out that for the most part, everyone concentrated on trying to take those important bridge points (kinda like a real war
).
With the audio in this game, people sending in mortar fire, vehicles rolling in, it was absolutely crazy trying to hold. Definitely one of the more "realistic" feeling matches I've ever done. If any of you are using gaming headphones, you can really pick up on some subtle audio things they've put in. Though, the screaming in agony or terror when gas is thrown is a little unnerving.

I've only had time to play this for a couple hours, but wow. I'm shocked on how they made the multiplayer feel so gritty at times. The settings are great. The war torn streets and the quaint villages that are about to get war torn throughout the match.
Starting with buildings and farmhouses upright and by the end of the game there's barely anything to hide behind. The sounds of the guns. The bayonet charges. The pretty primative combat means. This game is really well done.

Yea, I've had multiple moments when I just stopped and was like holy shite. Purely on a visual/audio/feel perspective, this game is about perfect.
They still have some issues with menus and load times, but I'll give those a pass

I think I am going to pick this up today or tomorrow.
For someone who is not very good at FPS...which class of soldier would be least embarrassing for me?

In games I have played I generally end up with the same amount of kills as deaths. So I guess average to below average?

Oh then you're fine then. You at least know what you're doing. My gut would say assault, as you can sort of spray and pray, but I'm going to say Medic. The starting rifle can switch from semi-auto to full auto, and has decent range/accuracy. You'll be able to engage how you're comfortable. Also, you'll get health packs and a re-vive tool, so even if you aren't getting a ton of kills, you can be a huge help to your team by keeping people alive.
You'll rack up points and level up pretty fast just doing those duties, without killing anyone.
