I think he is talking about the general tendency for games to not finish as hi as they start on metacritic.

Goodness you are screwed cheering for the Bethesda game taylor..
with all the "glitches" that are gonna be present in such a big game, you could hit -4k at first release. I wouldn't add this rule if I was you.

well fortunately it is on console, so the glitches shouldn't be as prevalent.

One week after each game is released we will average the PS3 and 360 scores from metacritic.
Currently they are 95 and 96, so 95.5 as the average.
Skyrim hasn't been released (obviously) so we don't know the scores yet.
ETA:
I'm still holding out hope. If a game like GTA IV can get a 98 then I have no doubt that Skyrim can.

Probably hurts you a bit taking out the PC scores. Although all of the console footage I've seen for Skyrim has looked legit.

well it really is more of a console game compared to the last iterations.
Plus there usually are more bugs for PC versions so it may be better. We will see.

They are taking the box, ps3 and pc scores and averaging them. Also, I think skyrim has a chance at getting better than 95.5, and I thought it was 10 days, that's why I wasn't sure. Cool that's it's 7 days.

AC isn't on PC, so we to keep it consistent we are just averaging the console scores.
