Figured we would just keep everything game related in here since the other thread was kind of a next gen release title thread.
Just picked it up. Unbelievable so far. The graphics are incredible. Everything is so vibrant & colorful. Added some tweaks to firing cannons & stuff (new aiming system), but I like it.

Finally gonna get a few hours of sleep. Just docked in Nassau. I'm hooked. This game has so many things that can get you sidetracked. Far surperior game than AC3.

Got a 9 superb from Gamespot and 8.5 great from IGN. Looks like IGN's complaint was the story.

picking it up this afternoon and playing it tonight probably.
I have played AC 2 and 3 and I'm eventually going to play the games in-between those. But based on this and its good reviews it should be a very good game.

meta critic 89 for ps3 86 for xbox 360 I don't know why the difference but looking good.

Those differences are usually just a consequence of reviews reviewing for different platforms. I want to hear how the Wii u version is.

I own all of them except brotherhood and revelations. I really liked 2, but felt ibis oft was really milking the franchise with those two Ezio sequels, so I was turned off by them. I may give them a try though. I've already preordered 4 for PS4.

I heard AC 1 was horrible so I just watched someone playing through it to get the idea of the story. I like how the games build on each other.

I hope this game will be something I will want to go back to. I find with story driven games that once I beat the campaign the game begins to collect dust on my shelf.

i want to like this game but i keep reading the same things about repetitive game play and lame story missions.

I heard the story isn't great but I think the fact that you can go off and explore will make this game great. I rather great gameplay with a weak story rather than weak gameplay and a great story.

no apparently no 10 hour forced play. This throws you directly into the ability to explore the world.

Yeah in terms I exploring, it's almost like GTAV. I didn't get to do much last night. I plan on exploring a little tonight.
