Futuristic FPS/RPG. Looks like they have the New Vegas team working on it. Given FO4 being good-not-great, and 76 being a shitshow, I'm super excited to see this in development. Between Cyberpunk 2077 and this, 2019 is going to be a great year for games.

Microsoft is just the publisher and fund provider. Nothing more. They’ve stated multiple times the developers have free reign over their projects.

Well Microsoft bought Obsidian, so I assume they are publishing. Not sure how the distribution will work, but there was a steam logo at the end of the trailer.
ETA I'd bet since the Microsoft acquisition was so recent, Obsidian already had deals in place with this game for all platforms, so Outer Worlds can't be an exclusive.

Exactly. I get it's the thing to do, giving NMS a lot of shite, but that is a space survival game.

John Gonzales is gone too
Sawyer was a main lynchpin for the NV effort and he's on board for this, for sure.
its not the same exact NV team but its damn sure as close as we will ever get and and it will be great

I’m not saying it did. It should’ve taken that route if it wanted to survive though. At least make an effort at fleshing out a world. Procedurally generated shite is an epic fail. What a POS game
